Thank you for visiting our Ebay store. This is a Rare and Very Special Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Jeff Beck Esquire Tribute Guitar with original flight case and original gig bag! Includes two certificates, the original and a reissued one. Please note: the case candy you see is not what came with the guitar. Fender was nice enough to send them. This fine guitar was Masterbuilt by Yuriy Shishkov. Somewhere between 10-15 of the 150 pieces made were made by Shishkov. This is a highly collectible instrument and is very light at 6 lbs 3 ozs according to our scale. It plays and sounds great and is a dream to hold!Winning bidder will receive everything that you see in the pictures.Limited Custom Shop run of just 150 worldwide (86 in North America) What more needs to be said about a guitar that so accurately captures the essence of Jeff Beck's original tone beast, the '54 Esquire. Now owned by Seymour Duncan, the guitar was chosen by Fender for its Masterbuilt Tribute Series, and darned if they didn't pull off another jaw-dropping replica. Each of the 150 guitars shipped worldwide (only 86 here in North America) were meticulously "distressed" to look just like a guitar with the kind of history that Beck's Esquire accumulated over more than a decade of significant abuse. Even if you never thought you'd look at a Fender Esquire more than once, this one has some really special vibe going on. White Blonde ash body with black, single-ply pickguard in special Relic finish Beck's White Blonde ash body Esquire came with a lacquer finish, but by the time he bought it, the previous owner had tried to carve the upper rear bout of the guitar to give it a more "Strat"-style contour. He was not successful, of course, but it's all part of this amazing instrument's look and feel. The lacquer finish is period accurate and is topped with the '50s-style black, single-ply "bakelite" pickguard. The Relic touches look absolutely authentic, down to the last nick, scratch and ding. Amazing! 1957-style maple neck and fingerboard with soft "V" shape As mentioned, Jeff destroyed several necks while the original Esquire was in his possession. The best guess is that the maple neck on it now is either a '56 or more likely a '57 with the slightly chunkier soft "V" shape and a period-accurate lacquer finish (properly distressed, but playable). Special 1951 "Nocaster" bridge pickup and vintage hardware The pickup on this stunning recreation is a 1951 "Nocaster" bridge pickup. For those who don't know the story, Telecasters were originally called Broadcasters, but Gretsch had already used the name on a set of drums. So for a short time, Telecasters came off the assembly line without any name on the headstock, thus these are called "Nocasters." Those '51 bridge pickups were all wound by hand, and Beck's has a particularly aggressive sound which is captured by the '51 Nocaster pickup. All the hardware is vintage style and period-accurate, including the brass saddles. It even looks like it was used and abused daily for about two decades Limited Edition flight case, vintage gig bag When you buy from me, expect to receive what you see in the pics. I know the feeling of buying something sight unseen only to find out the seller was not that accurate.
