The Honduras Mahogany cabinet and the works of this piano are in great shape for its age. I want this piano to go to a good home where it will be appreciated for its beauty and quality. From my untrained eye, It has had 3 strings replaced and needs 4 more replaced that are missing. There is a slight separation in the sound board between two panel's that is not causing any noise, see pictures.
I have had some refurbishment done cleaning, tuning, the action and tone of all the keys are very responsive and my daughter is currently playing it for her practice and enjoyment.
Times like they are we have to sadly down size some of our possessions. With just a little refurbishment it will serve any pianist well for years to come. It is my understanding that this piano could be professionally restored and this year, brand and model piano can be worth in the $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 + range. I am not a piano refurbish-er but I will do all I can, to give you the best descriptions & pictures. If you would like to here how it played I can email a clip of my daughter playing it but I have not figured out how to post it on ebay. You are also welcome to come and bring your experts to examine it before you purchase it. Just contact me for details.
