Made in the USA Dillion Custom Shop in 2006 by John Dillion. 1 of 2 limited edition relic’s. I am the original owner. Light relic butterscotch finish. Super nice looking, playing, and sounding guitar. I didn’t care for the stock bridge which was shiny chrome but not a standard size. I lucked out one day and found a guy in California that was able to build a custom one and make it so I could use compensated brass saddles. The bridge was made unfinished so I picked up an unfinished control plate and knobs from Glendale to match up with it. I then replaced the stock pickups with Madison Crystal Clear relics, and upgraded the capacitor. So now it looks the relic part and sounds great. I’ve had people tell me this is the best sounding tele they have ever heard.Chunky C shape neck. I’ll have to provide a weight when I get home but I recall it was pretty standard.I paid $700 for the guitar and have another $350 or so in upgrades. All the stock parts and case candy (shown in the pictures) comes with the guitar. OHSC too.Madison's Music Crystal Clear pickups are all hand wound one at a time. Madison’s goal was to create a high quality product while capturing that signature vintage tone in each individual pickup. The pickups are scatter wound by hand offering a balance of crisp highs, defined mids and a warm balanced low end. They wanted the individuality in the notes to be defined and to stand out.
In my opinion and that of others – they succeeded on the pickups. Reason for selling: thinning the herd a bit, and this one really should not be sitting in a case.I have plans next week and will be cancelling the listing Friday if it doesn't sell. Which would be fine with me.
