If you are reading you probably know about the guitar, it's the Rickenbacker 660, 12 string produced as a Tom Petty Special edition.  1,000 were made and only 186 were JetGlo (black).  I believe these were produced between 1991 and 2000.  This guitar, as noted on the Certificate of Authenticity, was produced in April 1997, and is number 934, so close to the last JetGlo made, I suspect.  Just passed it's 20 year anniversary!I purchased this on ebay in 2008.  I have played it VERY little, almost never.  It's basically been sitting in the case.  It's time to 'thin the heard' and since I don't play this, I figure I can let I go.  The condition is incredible. I tried to find any blemish and finally found a minute scratch on the back of the horn, see the pic.  It is not deep and it is hard to even see, but it's there so it's near mint, not mint.Asking $2,750.  Looks like a couple 660-12's (not Tom Petty models) have sold for $2,500 plus shipping recently.   I will ship to the lower US 48 for FREE.  Free Shipping plus the Limited Edition TP model, should make the asking price fair.  I would basically clear what I (probably over) paid for it in 2008.  If you are outside US 48, then you will have to pay shipping.  Do not bid on the item unless you are willing to pay that shipping.  I am not going to figure out what it would cost.  Assume a lot and don't back out when you find out it is.  So buy from outside US 48 at your own cost risk.  If that's OK, bid high and bid often. It's a great guitar.  OHSC that has some wear, mostly some scuffs.  I can send pics.  I have the original wipe cloth still in plastic, the Guide and Care manual and the case key.  It's a beauty.
