Circa 1950 Los Angeles Olds Recording R15Dual Bore Slide (.495/.510), 8" 'Rey-O-Loy' (Red Brass) Bell, Fluted Slide Tubes. Custom made counterweight by Brass Lab (this horn was a little bit to slide heavy, now its perfectly balanced, and looks great). Slide is 10/10, tuning slide is 10/10. There is no wear on the stockings, I have also found that Yamaha Oil works best on this horn. The Los Angeles era horns are regarded to be a much better quality than the later years, and it definitely shows with how this horn plays. There is lacquer wear, but no significant dents (nothing to affect playing quality of horn). No mouthpiece with horn, but uses a slightly smaller than normal receiver (works best with Denis Wicks or older mouthpieces). Case looks amazing for display purposes (worn out and covered in stickers), and is very worn but protects the horn. This horn plays very well, and has a sweet sonorous sound.
