Here is a MARVELOUSLY REFINISHED Conn 2B that plays as wonderful as it looks. 258,xxx serial number dates it to around 1928 I believe. Also has "B" marking which denotes a "French Brass Bell". Simply stunning to see, a very nice job of refinishing (it was done before I got it). You will notice strings I put on to make up for the fact that the 3rd and 1st slide stop rods were removed at the refinish. The valves appear to be re-plated at some point--compression is still quite good and I had no issues at all with playability. Smooth and fast valve action as well as proper tuning slide function. The lead pipe must have been replaced as there is no "2B" on the underside. No matter, I have an original 2B (may be selling later) that plays EXACTLY like this one...warm, beautiful sound combined with slightly flexible slotting and an easy, open upper register. Blends well with Strads but sings above everything when needed!! Case is original in fair shaped except the handle is gone. I am selling because I simply have too many fine horns and switching back and forth is affecting my playing. Horn will be carefully packed and fully insured. Thanks for looking!!
