For sale is my gorgeous Hagstrom Viking Deluxe, aka V2, in the hard to find honey 'burst with flame maple top.   Serial number 718131, dating from 1967, and was from the first run of these gutiars,  when it was known as the Viking Deluxe, a run of 350.  The 2nd run was made in late 67 and early 1968/The guitar is in excellent condition, with very few dings, the largest of which is shown in the picture of the cutaway.  Then it has the very special defect, ie the burn of a cigarette butt below the pickguard, stuck there during a song, by the previous owner, which leads to this story  "  This guitar used to belong to a noted Jazz musician  from the Santa Cruz, ca area, Smith Dobson.  Known for his piano and sax playing,  he also had this guitar.  If you do a search under his name,  there is a fair amount of information on him,  and on the site SF gate, site,  it talks about his memorial service, with lots of pics.  He was 52 when he rolled his car driving home to Santa Cruz after a gig in Palo Alto."   David, of More Music in Santa Cruz sold his instruments for his widow,  the guitar of which ended up with me.  David  can verify that this belonged to him.  Maybe I can get a letter from him in this regard."  Ship world wide,   right now resides in a way too big deadnaught guitar case, but probably will be able to find something bettter, but will be double boxed with hard foam lining for extra protection.Please pay via PayPal within 24 hours of end of auction
