Up for sale, a 2012 Fender Jaguar Thinline semi-hollowbody electric guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A rare model produced for only one short year by Fender Japan, the Jaguar model JG-HO combines the double bound "tuxedo" good looks of a Telecaster Custom with a semi-hollow ash body and traditional Jaguar pickups/controls for a playing experience that is both wholly new and familiar. Tonally, this Jag does everything a good Fender should, with plenty of twang and snap in the top end, with the slightly aggressive chime and sinewy snarl that sets this model apart. The stock pickups have balanced, sweet output and great clarity for strummed passages and sparkling lead lines. Engage the Rhythm Circuit for even darker, meatier tones (great for use with fuzz pedals) or click on the "strangle" switch in the Lead Circuit for even thinner tic-tac sounds. Of course the ash body and semi-hollow nature of the body gives this guitar a midrange detail, tonal richness, and smooth attack that's unique to this model! Weighing in at 8lbs 8oz, the instrument has a prominent acoustic voice too. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Jaguar is dialed in with 12-52 strings and features low action and solid intonation.The maple neck has a medium C shaped profile with good shoulders and just enough fullness and depth in the highest registers of the fretboard to feel substantial. The profile has a smooth gloss finish and the rosewood fretboard has both bright white binding and pearl dot inlays. Retaining vintage Fender specs, the fretboard has a 7 1/4" radius, 24" scale and 1 5/8" nut width. The frets are remarkably clean, with perfectly rounded crowns and virtually no wear, playing cleanly up the neck with consistent, low action and no buzzing or dead spots. On the headstock, the Kluson-style chrome tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should.All of the electronics are stock, with the traditional Jaguar control layout, near flawless chrome and a sleek black pickguard. Visible through the F hole, the prominent grain of the ash body can be glimpsed, and Fender's choice to use ash in the construction of this Jag factors heavily into the powerful, detailed tones that this guitar produces. In terms of cosmetic wear, there is very little to report, with only a few stray finish scratches in the clear coat on the back of the guitar.
