Up for auction is this 1965 Slingerland matching 3 pc shell pack. A beautiful Red Garnet Glitter adorns this set up. Sizes are: 12x8, 16x16, and 22x14. Virgin Bass Drum! All shells stamped "May 1965". The stamps on the 12 and bass are under the lug bolts, but can be seen clearly on the 16. Beautiful clear maple interiors with re-rings. All the chrome is near mint. COB stick savers. All seams are tight. The 12 had a mount attached, but was not on the drum when I bought it; 2 small holes can be seen in the pic. The 16 has the push button leg brackets which, IMO, are kind of cool, but not reliable for a gigging drummer. I am including 3 after market perfect match brackets with wing bolts, if you like those better. Also, I am including 3 Gibraltar rubber feet for the legs. Both mufflers on the toms work as they should. (Side note: The toms of this era had no badges, so these do not have badges or vents). The bass is a virgin in beautiful condition! Original cymbal mount. Included is a Gibraltar L cymbal arm. This cymbal mount works great! I've had 22"s on it and it holds just fine! One low side seam on the bass looks as if it has "shrunk" from it's original position just a bit over time, but is not lifting... hardly noticeable. All heads on the toms and kick are newer.
