HISTORY
Made by Lyon & Healy in Chicago for their Washburn brand, this is a fancy model 5317 ukulele with vintage tooled leather Maulbetsch & Whittermore case. Made sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's during the Hawaiian music boom. This old Washburn is in very nice shape with some play wear evident on the upper bout and lots of finish checking. There are no cracks and no repairs and all the parts are original. The plastic ring that would fit in the soundhole is missing. Freshly strung with a set of Martin M600 ukulele strings. Worldwide shipping available.
