Up for grabs here is a 1 of a kind Fender Telecaster
This is a 2001 American Designer Edition that has been completely transformed
The guitar started life with a silver sparkle finish and a black headstock and was 1 of only 200 worldwide, produced exclusively for the American Guitar Centre
Since then pretty much everything has been changed to give it a light / medium relic vintage vibe. All hardware is now Fender aged vintage parts and as you can see it now has an aged cream finish with stripped headstock. The finish has a very slight pink tint to it but best seen in person.
It has an alder body, maple neck and beautiful rosewood fretboard with large clay dot markers. Frets have been recently dressed, no fret wear. The scratchplate is a 3 ply vintage faded mint green
I was told by a previous owner that the pickups have been changed to custom shop '51 nocasters but I can't confirm that. I do have photos of the pickups underside and the neck cavity.
The electrics have also been changed and it now has a 4 way switch giving different options - the usual 3 plus position 4 which gives a great humbucker sound. All bases are covered from country twang to blues / rock / heavy rock. It looks, plays and sounds amazing
It comes in a good quality and excellent condition Hiscox Liteflite fitted case
