This high end archtop jazz guitar was designed by acclaimed luthier James D’Aquisto and built to his exacting specifications in by Fender in Japan. These guitars were manufactured by Fender in the mid eighties. Body: Full hollow body. Maple arched top, arched back and sides. Multi-ply bound top and back. Single cutaway.Neck: Three-piece maple with bound rosewood fretboard. Mother of pearl dot inlays. 24.75” scale length. 12” radius. 1.7” nut width.Pickups/Hardware: Two specially designed Schaller humbucker pickups. Three-way pickup toggle. Two volume and two tone controls with wooden knobs. Rosewood floating bridge and rosewood tailpiece. Bound rosewood pickguard. Fender-branded tuners.The guitar is in very good condition for a 30+ year old instrument. There are two finish dings on the backside of the headstock (see photo) and a few other nicks and finish imperfections if you look close. Neck is straight, truss rod works fine, frets are like new, intonation is spot on, the guitar plays and sounds amazing. Classic high quality archtop sound. All original, everything in excellent working order. The original hard shell case is included. It is functional and in nice shape on the inside, but a bit rough on the outside as photos show.
