A 1985 Jennings Chestnut F-style mandolin in very good condition. Labeled #36. Back and sides are birdseye maple. Top is spruce. Reset, fret dress, and finish repair done by Marc Prave at M Prave Guitar Works in Curwensville, PA in 2012. Comes with a super heavy-duty vault of a case and a leather strap.
Cracks are in the finish only. Seems the original lacquer was applied a bit on the thick side. The neck is profiled flat. Intonation is true and the tone has nice midrange velocity.
