Up for auction is a custom NOS Clapton Stratocaster neck with a red special order Warmoth body, and Stereo Fishman Powerbridge. This guitar was carefully assembled to replicate Pete Townsend stage used Stratocaster. The stereo feature of this is incredible. Through a Strymon blue sky or Timeline amazing affects are to be had! This body was specially ordered from Warmoth to be Dakota Red with dual 9 V battery compartments, it's light and resonant. Currently this has a Fishman Powerbridge w/ Lace Sensor pickups (no active circuitry or battery). The pickups are the same Lace Sensor's Pete uses, these are the original noiseless gold Laces-with excellent tone. This has the original TBX tone pot for more variety. No sacrifice to the tone, exc. highs and lows and still very stratty sounding, totally quite, this is a great studio type guitar that also roars onstage. The frets on this are nearly new, (this neck was NOS and stored as a backup since it's manufacture). Condition and playability on this is excellent. I believe the ink stamp is either '91 or '92. A really unique one-of-a kind guitar w/o spending the $15,000.00 for the ltd.edtn. same thing (Townshend Sig. C/S).. This comes with a Fender hardshell case and Fishman whammy bar.
