Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous and rare 1985 vintage Fender PERFORMER in Burgundy Mist metallic finish!
Comes in newer Fender reissue hardshell case.
100% original and complete featuring Fender humbucking pickups and a floating tremolo System with Fender style adjustable bridge saddles.
This guitar is in PRISTINE cosmetic condition ~~ as close to MINT as it gets!
Showing no scratches or dents!
Neck is straight and set up for a smooth ride. The original frets show no wear. NICE action and GREAT playability! The case is in great condition as well.
The Performer was designed by John Page.
Before the CBS sale, John Page was tasked with creating a new, radical guitar to be called the Performer.
Throughout the transition from CBS to Fender, Page continued on with the Performer project and readied it for production once FMIC was in control of the company.
Due to the aforementioned lack of facilities — the Performer was to be a U.S.-made instrument — Page and Fender moved ahead with production and the instrument was made in Fujigen, Japan.
