Baldwin Burns Vibraslim Hollowbody guitar. Completely vintage. ’65-66Serial no 18462I love Baldwin Burns guitars. They look and sound great. It’s entirely vintage as far as I know. Amazingly it has no noise in the pots, the jack is a little wobbly and I didn’t want to put my non-expertise skills to secure it. Best left to professionals. I believe it’s missing part of the bridge? Not entirely sure. Seems like any other Burns Vibraslims I’ve seen online have had a new bridge installed. But it plays as is. The original whammy bar is included but it doesn't have whatever piece is required to attach to the guitar. Also missing one knob, and laughingly one tiny flathead screw on the back of the headstock holding in the peg cover. I actually went to more than a few hardware stores looking for that one screw to no avail. Suppose a guitar shop would be a better bet but for now there’s a phillips screw not screwed in the whole way. There’s random cosmetic flaws/cracks in the finish which is to be expected on a guitar so old. Personally to me that gives it character. But damn this guitar sounds great. If I had a blues band I’d fix it up to play it but I don’t. It has the original case but the hinges are broken. I was going to fix them but I was only using the guitar for recording, not gigging and figured it’s better to find the matching hinges and I never got to that either. I guess it’s a little of a project guitar but not much. Hate to see this go but I have many other guitars and figured it’s better in the hands of someone playing the music it more suited for. I used it with a slide for some recording and has a hell of a warm, punchy tone.
