Somehow along the line one of the previous owners thought this guitar would sound better with '70s Gibson Melody Maker pickups, a stop tailpiece and '70s tuners. It also has routs in the neck and bridge pickup cavities so its clear that this guitar is not a true vintage collector piece. Now for the good news. It ROCKS! With its 52+ year old mahogany body and neck and rosewood fingerboard this Melody Maker exudes tone. Its a screaming player that also looks Uber cool!
