Rarely seen for sale and only produced in small numbers for the European market, this is the awesome and unusual Graham Coxon Signature Telecaster in Blonde. Famous both as a solo artist and as the guitarist in Blur, Graham Coxon's unusual style has given us some brilliant moments in modern popular music, such as the infectious riff to Blur's 'Song 2', the beautiful lilt of 'Tender' and one of the greatest (and most unusual) guitar solos in British music, 'Coffee and TV' - and all on a Telecaster! Pick it up and it feels sturdy, dependable and reassuring, like any good Telecaster should. Plug it in, and it gets even better! It has an ash body, rosewood fretboard and a gloss C profile neck which all combine to make it look and feel like a classic Tele, but the signature tweaks give it some subtle but effective differences. On the surface these Graham Coxon features include a vintage style three-saddle bridge, matt black pickup surround and a very cool '70s style Fender headstock decal, but more profound are the awesome pickups, most notable the '59 SH-1 Humbucker in the neck position, which interestingly run through 375k volume and tone pots, to give a slightly brighter sound overall and something different to most Teles. Overall a brilliant Telecaster in its own right with a few interesting features to set it apart from standard models. In great condition except for a couple of decent but cosmetic knocks on the bottom of the body - see pictures. This model was originally only supplied with a soft case, but ours comes with a proper Thomann fitted hard case.
