Flying V Michael Schenker 80's Replica - Stunning!
Estimated price for orientation: 449 $
Category: Electric Guitars
Class:
Description Brand: Not Known String Configuration: 6 String Body Colour: Black / White Model: Flying V Custom Build Right-/ Left-Handed: Right-Handed
This is an amazing replica of the black and white flying V as played by Michael Schenker in the 80's. It is in immaculate condition, I cannot see any chips or scratches. The protective plastic film is still on the truss rod cover and the pick guard. In truth I don't know a great deal about this other than I bought it as a project from a collector, who advised that this was part of a small batch made some time in the 80's that had not been touched. I've personally polished the frets, oiled the neck lowered that action and replaced the machine heads with a new set of Gotoh's.The guitar comes in a hard black case, lined with black velvet. The paint job has been professionally done - in fact I think it's way better than that on my Rudolf Schenker Gibson signature flying V!The guitar plays like a dream (again probably better than my Gibson!) with amazing sustain and loads of punch.I was going to replace the pickups with a new set of Seymour Duncan's, the only reason I haven't, at £180 per set I doubted I would get my money back. However if anyone is interested in buying these with the guitar, I'm sure we can come to some arrangement! The only slight flaw I can find is that the pick guard does not have completely straight edges (but that's probably just me being picky - but I want to be completely honest about this guitar) - this is something you will have to look quite hard to see - I doubt it shows on the photos!Don't miss the chance to own this amazing guitar!
