serial number is 82942 For your consideration is my 79-80 BC Rich Mockingbird.This guitar was handmade in the in what would now be called “The Custom Shop”however that term didn’t really exist back then. This is a guitar that was handmade,the wood hand picked (Curly Maple neck thru and wings w/walnut strips separatingthem.) built under the supervision of Bernie SR. who spent time in the customshop. This guitar has 2 volume and 2 tone knobs like a Gibson with a 3 wayswitch. Only mod is the bridge P/U was changed to a Seymour Duncan JB model (installedby Steve Soest. Google him, you will be amazed at his background as a top Luthierin the business.) back in 82-83 when I boughtit from the original owner in Fullerton CA. The original owner was on his 5thhandmade custom Rich and sold this because he was waiting on the Bich he washaving made. The original owner had it repainted black to match his Bich in the factoryduring the time he was waiting on his Bich. There are a couple of chips asshown and slight wear but no damage at all. This was his 3rd Mockingbird and theonly one he kept as this one has the “SHORT HORN” (VERY RARE) making this guitar notneck heavy. It has a very balanced feel, sustain forever and a lightning fastneck. I will never be the guitar player that this guitar deserves. Trust me. Thisguitar is worth well above what I am asking. It needs a new home and I need the$$$$ for other ventures. I reserve the right to end the auction early asthis is for sale locally. Buyer is to pay exact cost of shipping. With the caseit weighs 50-60lbs. The foam in the case needs to be redone. 35+ yrs and it hasbroken down. Anvil quoted me 150.00 to refurb the case.
