For sale is a very cool 1965-67 Egmond 3V Typhoon. Egmond guitars were made in Holland – they produced entry level to professional grade guitars in the 50’s-70’s that were imported to the US- George Harrison's first guitar was an Egmond. This is a very cool three pickup guitar with a cool black vinyl finish-similar to Hagstroms of the same period. The guitar plays and sounds great; the three pickups have a crisp single coil sound and the rotary switch provide numerous sound options from the pickups. The neck is straight and the action is good- the neck has a nice feel and has been new frets have recently been professionally installed. There are a few nicks in the neck and the there is a small spot near the neck where the vinyl has torn near the binding- see picture. The celluloid pick-guard has shrunk a little and there are cracks around some of the screws holding it in place. There is a tremolo arm.
