In 1959 Gibson marketed this guitar an a student or intro level instrument. This guitar is by no means a beginners toy, this is a raging tone machine. When I got this 10 years ago it had been used by a very large man in a punk band as more of a prop. It was beat into the ground, had names carved into the finish and stickers plastered all over it, so I stripped it down. New tuners, BadAss bridge and a Duncan humbucker make this thing capable of chirping like a bird and screaming like a dragon with just a spin of the volume knob. I no longer have room for it so it has to go, I will include the original pickup tuners and a soft case with this sale.
