S9 serial number Stratocaster built between 1978 - 1981 Has been refinished in a light greeny yellow burst to dark green on the edges. It's an old finish with tons of natural checking and patina has not been relic. Only bad point is the body has two extra holes below the neck plate ( see pics) the the holes have been filled. The neck screws have been replaced with bolts to stop the neck moving. This guitar is on the heavy side and the original screws couldn't take the weight. Non original machine heads, I was told there oem Shaller but haven't seen any markings to confirm this ,They work great and feel smooth, definitely not made in the last 25 years !! The neck is maple, no cracks or repairs . frets are in good shape Plays great for age. Pickups are from an original voodoo strat from the 90s they have left hand pole pieces, they give a Hendrix vibe , srv had the prototype not to be confused with the newer mex ones! cts pots and oak switch. Bridge is non original has a zinc block I think its Japanese with fender stamped saddles. Has Dunlop strap buttons. The one on the horn has been recessed into the body ( see pics) comes with a Hiscox case (with key), leather strap (pictured) and trem arm.I've owned the guitar since 2008 and I'm reluctant to sell it but I need the space, I have to many good guitars not getting used.Great guitar as is not a collectible but a good player, could make a good restoration project or just leave it as is.Please have a good look at all the pictures.
