Used 1984 Gibson Les Paul Custom with original "chainsaw" case. Made in the USA. I bought this guitar new in 1984 at the Biasco music in Chicago. Original white finish that has aged to a lovely ivory hue. Features Tim Shaw PAF pickups, gold plate hardware, flip-out cranks on tuning machines, ebony fingerboard with block inlays and bound and inlaid headstock. The knobs have been replaced with gold hat knobs and the pots have been upgraded to CTS 500 K. Generally in very good condition for a 33 year old guitar- solid structurally and electronically. Finish is intact with fine checking and various small scuffs and scratches, and a few chips. Binding and finish have yellowed significantly with some variation in tone, but the overall effect is quite attractive. Original frets show a little wear but not much, the guitar plays well with smooth, medium/low action and sounds absolutely amazing. Weighs in at a solid 10 lbs./ 5.1 oz. A finely aged example of a classic Gibson design - mellow yellow, indeed...Shipping to the 48 continental United States only - no international bidders, please.
