1990s GETZEN RENAISSANCE Trumpet early version .459 tuning bell lightweight
This is either one of very early Getzen Renaissance trumpets or maybe even a prototype.....here are the details.....first off there is NO engraving or serial number on this horn....the only thing is stamped on the underside of the tuning bell channel which is 636 B....it does have the longer mouthpiece receiver which i have seen in some pictures.....but....it has the old style valve parts which are inside threaded....also flat nickel finger buttons.....and it also has waterkeys and not the amados.....one other reason i think it could be a test version....there is no brace on the tuning slide BUT it looks like there was one at one time...but i think it was put on after it was silverplated as under where the flange was is silverplated....which it would not be if it were original...also missing the brace on the tuning slide outer tubes........so...it is a VERY lightweight horn especially without the bracing....bell is paper thin, a few dings on the flare, you will have to be careful putting mutes in!.....this is a tuning bell horn....i think these may have been an answer to schilke horns.....has that feel...it's .459 bore........also reminds me of a Bach 72 lightweight.....REALLY screams with a big sound....plating is a bit worn on normal contact points.....valves good, quick and light.....did not come with a case so best i can do is a semi soft side case, due to the screw on the bell......slides all slick.....put all new felts corks....has had chem clean and ultrasonic.....was a bit corroded before....US shipping is quite variable so price will depend on your distance from the Chicago area PAYMENT EXPECTED IN 3 DAYS.....PLEASE contact me ahead of time if you need to be outside that timeframe!!!!CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS and please visit my other auctions!US.....Priority/Retail Ground Mail $45
