Beautiful Blonde Nocaster. More custom than Custom Shop! More love! & locally/UK made! Details:Fender Custom Shop Nocaster pickups, USA CTS pots & knobs, USA Oak Grigsby switch & jack socket. Hand-slotted Bone nut. NOS Mullard Tropical Fish tone cap (secret sauce! Believe us on this one - we have shot out caps from just about every make & era - the Tropical Fish just works with this guitar & these pickups! Tone that will make a grown man cry! Seriously!)5-hole single-ply vintage pickguard.Vintage slot screws used throughout.6 x brass-saddle through-body bridge - contentious, maybe, but as a result this tele intonates perfectly - as opposed to her 3-saddle siblings.Blonde relic'ed "Thin Skin" nitrocellulose 2-piece American Swamp Ash body.USA 1-piece rock maple vintage C/'fat' neck finished with vintage amber-tint saturn nitro (Saturn just feels the best on necks!).If you've ever played a pre-'65 fender you'll understand the sonic/tonal, tactile, resonant, & aesthetic benefits of nitrocellulose lacquer - if you haven't, you owe it to yourself - and there just ain't no going back! That's a promise! Poly sucks! Literally! - it sucks tone, sustain and response - the timber is entombed and choked and not able to have a voice. We believe poly is the main reason why it's so hard to fall in love with modern Fender guitars. They just feel and sound dead. CBS era "Fender" has a lot to answer for!Why the relic finish? Nitro relics in a very natural, fast & beautiful way! If you bump it - it dings. If you wear a belt buckle it'll scratch up the back-finish. If it experiences temperature changes it checks/cracks. It's gonna happen & it looks & feels great! We've started the process so you can just play her and enjoy her and not have to be precious with her! It's so liberating!Master-Built & set-up by Jon Dickinson of Dickinson Amps fame! (please google Jon's website as eBay doesn't allow weblinks which is a bummer!).Jon is a bonafide guitar & amp guru. He makes ridiculously boutique point-to-point valve amps for the likes of Muse (checkout their London Olympic opening ceremony performance on YouTube) and has been repairing/setting up vintage guitars & basses for the baddest cats in the business for a very long time. His amazing workshop is based in Crystal Palace, South London. Pop in if you're in the neighbourhood but be warned: it's like a candy shop to a diabetic! This Tele is THE one! She's a stunning head-turner, and a true revelation to play! We are genuinely pained to send her out into the world but this is a new venture for the boys: building top-shelf gorgeous (but affordable) guitars that they would DEARLY love to keep themselves....& love sometimes hurts after all.Free postage & Ships with a genuine Fender Tweed hard-case & matching Fender Tweed 5m cable! Finally: if you have any specific set-up requests Jon will of course make it happen before shipping or you can also collect in person from the workshop in Crystal Palace & have Jon do any special tweaks while you have a nose about the shop or pop downstairs to the cafe and Zac will make you one of London's best flat whites! UK buyers only cheers!
