1958 1959 original vintage Fender tweed Strat or Tele guitar case.  Excellent condition! Man, are these original tweed cases getting tough to find, or what?  I just checked eBay, etc, and saw only two others, one very rough at $1,350 and one in similar shape to mine, but with bad exterior water stains for $2,200.  That’s it.  I guess being made in only those two magical years of ‘58 & ‘59 makes these scarcer than hen’s dentures.  Especially in nice shape like this one. Check out the pics.  This case is all there.  From brown leather ends to the excellent blond tweed, to the brass hinges, feet, and fine-working latches (on left side latch the spring is gone, but latch works fine, opens and latches securely, no problem). Inside, the golden-orange plush lining is in real nice shape, with just a bit of darkening here and there, but not falling off like so many others.  Even still has the original leather pull-tab on the case pocket.  Measures inside 39” long and 12 ¾” wide. Of course, being near sixty years old, the case does have some dings, scratches, wear, and nicks.  But overall, it’s far nicer than the other two out there, and best of all it’s 100% un-touched original.  I tell you, if I’m in as solid shape when I hit sixty, I’ll dance naked on a bar-top. If you’ve got a ‘58 or ‘59 Strat or Tele (or any year, vintage or new), now you can protect it with class and style, in the case meant for it. $2,000 obo
