The body is Alder with a Candy Apple Red finish & the neck is maple with a maple board & 21 frets.
New parts:1. Brand new Seymour Duncan Hot Rails at bridge with on/on/on mini toggle that switches from series/split & parallel. Wired properly with no issues & really expands the tonal possibilities of this pickup.2. Nearly new Van Zandt Vintage Plus single coil pickups at neck & middle. If you do not know these pickups, look 'em up. They are HUGELY popular & hand made in Texas. With the right amp, a very spot-on SRV tone is right at your fingertips with these.3. New Fender gold bridge with new Graph Tech String Saver saddles, all adjusted to radius of neck with intonation right on the money. The bar is Fender & clean as new, but was one I already had on hand.4. Brand new licensed 2 ply MOTO 11 hole pickguard. Still has protective plastic on it as does matching trem cavity cover on back.5. New Fender gold input jack plate.6. Custom engraved gold neck plate with gold screws, brand new.7. Brand new LSR roller nut cleanly installed. One *teensy" little bit of neck material chipped out, but have to look very hard to see it. It's nothing, trust me.8. Brand new "Schaller style" custom gold & black locking tuners. Excellent quality tuners & really well made.9. New gold roller string tree. Does not put a lot of pressure on the strings it supports, but does the job & looks great.10. Brand new Jim Dunlop Strap Loks with other half on included Planet Waves gecko theme strap (strap is just barely used & super clean).All hardware/screws on the guitar with the exception of the switch & pickup screws are in gold & new. Action on guitar is low & buzz-free & just strung up with new Fender Super Bullet 09's, so will need some break in period. Frets have ZERO wear. I took the basic guitar in trade a few months ago from a guy who bought it new at GC in 2005. He told me he "fiddled with it" for about a week, gave up & put it back in it's case. I have put maybe an hour on the guitar myself. It has been barely played & shows it. NO dings, pick scratches on body or neck & the cleanest you could hope for being technically used.The included case (did not get case with it when I got it) is vintage, but in VG/EX condition, very clean with no structural issues & fits the guitar perfectly. It's basically a very nice shipper, so no need to expect it to be a beauty queen.Difficult to let this go, but I have a number of Strats as it is & took it in to customize at the highest level possible at a reasonable price & resell.
