Fender Eric Johnson Signature Stratocaster Candy Apple Red 2005 near mint Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster. Eric Johnson is a guitar player who is obsessed by tone and guitars, he has tremendous attention for detail when it comes to his guitars. This Eric Johnson signatures is based on a beloved 1957 Stratocaster, it has been designed with Eric Johnson and members of the Custom Shop to take the best of vintage design with modern electronic technology. The guitar features a 2-piece alder body with an ultrathin nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Candy Apple Red, it has a one piece quarter sawn neck with a 12” fretboard radius. The neck is made out of beautiful maple, it has a thin skinned glossy lacquer with a vintage tint. Several pickup prototypes have been created before these pickups were chosen by Eric Johnson. It features custom shop modified single coils with innovative wire material and wiring technique. It has all the tone Eric Johnson longed for! Another Eric Johnson feature to this guitar is that the tone controls are wired to the neck and bridge pickups instead of the usual neck and middle tone configuration.The guitar is almost as good as new but for two small lacquer chips. The playability is really good and it feels like a vintage stratocaster, the tone of this guitar is amazing.
