Description: 1960 Fender Precision Bass. Nitrocellulose Sunburst finish. Slab Rosewood fingerboard & C profile neck. It all original other than the case. This bass plays and sounds amazing. The tone is superbly rich, warm and round which you can only get from these very early Fenders. The body shows plenty of wear, bumps & dings around the edges, with a large area of buckle rash on the back. There's also two screw holes in the back of the body where presumably someone had added/repositioned the strap buttons? The front of the body is relatively clean. All hardware & electronics are in good working order. The frets show very little pitting. The bass is strung with flats and may well have been for most of its life considering the condition of the frets. The headstock is relatively clean showing only minimal wear. The CTS pots both date to 1959, the body date is 10/59. Serial: 44703. Weight: 8lbs 10.5oz. All round fantastic bass. Set up nice and low with a great action by my technician.
