Yamaha YBB321 Customized This tuba has been refurbished by the seller who is a professional instrument repairer and builder. The extent of the refurbishment is as follows. Most of the instrument was taken apart and a lot of the obvious dents taken out although some minor ones remain. All slides were freed and where necessary, slide ends de-dented, valves cleaned and lapped in, new water key corks and springs. The body was then grit blasted and spray painted with pearlescent white, which is attractive. Inside of the bell has a satin finish covered with clear 2K lacquer, slide ends, top and bottom valve caps, are shiny and finished in a baked-on clear epoxy lacquer. The resulting instrument plays easily and well. The different appearance would make it ideal in a Show band. The tuba will be supplied with a suitable new mouthpiece and a case but this needs a lot of repair in terms of structure, missing catches and lack of wheels, albeit repair is feasible. The item is listed as collect only {mainly because of its size} but arrangements could be made to have it transported by courier if absolutely essential. Alternatively The seller would be prepared to travel a reasonable distance to meet a buyer.
