This is a 1p No Reserve auction from Mark Goodwin Pianos (Manchester & London showrooms specialising in reconditioned Yamaha and Kawai pianos)We are auctioning around 20 of our fully reconditioned Yamaha, Kawai and other Japanese pianos to make space for upcoming deliveries at our warehouse.  PAY ON DELIVERY. NO DEPOSIT NEEDED. NO RISKThis is a fully risk-free auction as you don't have to pay a single penny until the piano is safely inside your home. At that point you just phone us to pay with a card or pay by bank transfer. Once you've made the payment the movers will drive away and the piano is all yours to keep.ABOUT THIS PIANO This auction is for a Yamaha G1 grand piano in mahogany gloss finish with serial number beginning 3970848. It was made in 1984. It has been reconditioned including replacement and refurbished internal parts and is in fully working condition with a first class touch and tone. The 2 pedals are currently a bit tarnished but we have ordered some more Brasso and will do our best to get those looking good again. I will add a fresh photo here once we have improved the pedals. The same is true for the brass Yamaha logo just above the keys. ABOUT THE Yamaha G1 MODEL The G1 is a professional grade piano capable of taking any student all the way from grade 1 up to the grade 8 and as far beyond that as their ambition can take them.  DIMENSIONS Length: 5ft 3inWidth: 149cm
(we recommend you listen with headphones for the full effect)
DELIVERY CHARGE Nationwide groundfloor delivery is £199. Please ask if you have any groups of steps or stairs. We will give a 5  guarantee with this piano (parts & labour, onsite)SHOWROOM PRICE We are selling this piano for £5990 in our showroom but we are happy to let it go for £1 No Reserve to the highest bidder. This is not a reflection on the piano’s condition or quality, we have worked hard to recondition it up to showroom standard. But we have got too many grand pianos in stock at the moment so we have decided to auction this mahogany grand as most customers tend to prefer gloss black. If you are happy with mahogany then please consider placing a bid as there is a real chance for a genuine bargain here.
AUCTION GUIDE PRICE I’d like to think this auction will achieve £5000+ but I have to be realistic. This is the summer time which is traditionally the slowest time of year for piano sales. So I’m going to estimate a guide price of around £3500-£4000. It may go lower than £3500 but I’d be pleasantly surprised if it went any higher than £4000. I hope this helps with your bidding strategy but of course it’s an open auction and I have no accurate way of knowing what the winning bid amount will be.  BIDDING STRATEGY We have sold around 20 pianos like this so far this year and what we find is that 10 minutes after the auction ends 1 or 2 people usually email us to say they were outbid at the last minute and they wish they had bid a higher amount to secure the purchase. So my only advice is to have a long, hard think about what your maximum bid is and the bid that full amount at some point within the final hour. You can put a few tester bids in earlier on but figure out your maximum bid and don’t wait until the last minute to bid or you will find you get outbid with no time to respond.  ASK YOUR PIANO TEACHER & TUNER TO VIEW THIS AUCTION Please ask them to view this auction and make sure they watch the video. They will help you reassure you about the condition and quality and they may be able to help you decide how much to bid to have a good chance of being the winning bidder. OUR COMPANY REPUTATION I started Mark Goodwin Pianos Ltd 13 years ago and we have built up a very strong reputation in the UK. Many piano tuners and teachers recommend us. To read our reviews please search Google for “Mark Goodwin Pianos Free Index” and also “Mark Goodwin Pianos Testimonials”. We only have happy customers and we have lots of them.
Any questions please email markgoodwinpianos@gmail.comI will be selling a handful more pianos just like this for 1p No Reserve so please search facebook for Mark Goodwin Pianos and like our page so that you will see when the next auctions start. Please note there is no 1st tuning included in this auction but we will include the stool that is shown in the photograph. It isn’t a matching colour but it is fully functional and in good condition. If bidding reaches £3500 we will include a free 1st tuning in your home. ThanksMark
