Offered here is a Yamaha YHR-668 Double French Horn. The serial number is 020113.
The engraving on the lead pipe reads "YHR 668N" and the finger button
rail reads "Yamaha Japan". The 668N is a Kruspe wrap symphony double
horn, and is constructed from solid nickel silver.
As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, there are a
couple of tiny dings throughout the horn, as well as minimal areas of
rippling and very light scratches. The horn has only had one single owner (it was bought brand new from Maytan Music in Reno, NV in 2005). It has been VERY well taken care of and always kept in its case and protected while not being used. It comes from a smoke free home. There is one small issue with the horn, the third valve moves slow. When the third valve is depressed it moves fine, but upon release it moves slow, this is the only issue present. The horn plays beautifully it just has this minor issue with the third valve. The horn has been stored for quite some time in a cool dry indoor place protected in its case, and when the horn was removed from the case and inspected the third valve issue became apparent. This may be an issue where the horn needs a bath, but not entirely sure what the cause is as the horn has always been taken very good care of. Included with the horn is the original Yamaha mouthpiece, the cleaning snake, polishing cloth, the original instruction manual, and the original Yamaha case it came purchased in, the key to lock the case itself, and a mute.
