DESCRIPTION For sale is part of a huge collection of instruments I am selling as part of an estate liquidation. Everything is being sold on behalf of beneficiaries to settle the contents of an estate so there are no returns.
I am an estate liquidator and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Check back often as I will be adding new instruments daily ! Please ask
questions. This instrument is described to the best of my ability and sold as is with no warranties or guarantee's unless otherwise specified. Visit my business at statewideliquidators.com. I can bring instruments to my office for hands on inspection.
For sale is a vintage Ernest Heinrich Roth full size violin. It is internally labelled and branded with serial No. C166. There are no cracks ! The 2 piece top has a very fine hairline separation by the setting pin and saddle. (actually thinner than a hair) I removed the chin rest where you see the cork. This violin is not dated like some of the early ones from the 1920s so I'm speculating this dates either earlier or later. There is some moderate rosin buildup. Length of back measures exactly 14". Upper bout is 6-5/8". C Bout is 4-1/2". Lower bout is 8-1/8". Violin appears structurally sound with no open seams. Includes the bridge. Sound post is set in place but doesn't mean it won't pop loose during shipping. I see no visible reason why the violin can't be strung up with a new set of strings to play but as
with all old violins. Better safe than sorry and have a Luthier give it
a clean bill of health before putting new strings on. Valued up to $6500.00 Includes a case. No bow. Hands on inspection by appointment at my office in Danbury, CT. I will entertain reasonable offers. International bidders should inquire about exact shipping cost prior to bidding PHONE SUPPORT203-270-6000ANYTIME FROM 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST
