La 1608 apporterait toutes les fonctionnalités de la 1604 auxquelles ont été ajoutées de nouveautés pour répondre aux demandes d'aujourd'hui. De plus, elle est personnalisable puisqu'elle accepte les modules au format API 500. On peut d'ailleurs la commander sans les EQ pour intégrer à la place des modules d'autres constructeurs.
