The cornet has a rich and mellow well centered sound, making it a top choice for school band directors. The horn has a beautiful lacquer finish with nickel silver valve slides and a rose brass leadpipe. The Cornet features a classic .462” bore, and a 4 2/3” handspun brass bell. The valves are stainless steel with hand lapped pistons, which not only ensure an absolutely perfect fit & seal, but also help to achieve smooth air flow. Additional features include a 1st slide thumb saddle & 3rd slide ring for easy intonation adjustment, 2 water keys, & a lyre holder. The cornet comes with a mouthpiece and a custom wood leather case with metal corners, premium valve oil, and a cleaning cloth.
