| The Stage 2 EX Compact Keyboard from Nord is a professional piano, organ, and synthesizer instrument designed with a well-thought-out user interface, and a 73-key semi-weighted Waterfall keyboard. It can be used to play sounds in various environments for audio applications such as live stage, theater, recording studios, houses of worship, and more.
Some of the main features for the piano and organ section of the Stage 2 EX keyboard are a 1 GB memory for the piano library, the sample-based acoustic and electric pianos, an advanced string resonance, and a long release option for controlling harmonics when other strings are played. In addition, the organ section features a B3 tonewheel simulation, a vintage 122 rotary speaker simulation, and classic Vox and Farfisa organs. You also have digital LED drawbars for easy overview of the active drawbar settings.
Additional features of the synthesizer and global effects section of the Stage 2 EX keyboard include the 380 MB of storage for the Nord sample library, the classic analog FM and Wavetable synthesis, an a arpeggiator, a unison mode, and a master clock. Furthermore, the Global section provides a comprehensive effect section, with single-function control knobs providing instant visibility of the current settings, an external section allowing the Nord Stage 2 EX to serve as master keyboard, and an expanded live mode with 5 locations. There is also a USB-MIDI with no driver required for Mac OSX (drivers are available for Windows).
