Own a piece of Americana guitar history with this 1933 Gibson Century of Progress Model L-C Acoustic Guitar in Sunburst. Refinished by the famous Marty Bell. The tiger striped pickguard by the wondrous Chris Mirabella. And to put her in it's fabulous playing condition the great Chuck Block...!!! This guitar made waves when it was first introduced in 1933 at Chicago's Century of Progress exhibition. This is one of only 100 made and has stood the test of time in terms of its shape and sound. Gibson introduced the pearloid, then an unknown material, that saturates the fingerboard of this guitar at the exhibition. These are incredibly hard to find and, even more so, sought after. In the pictures, you will see for yourself that this guitar has impressive curly maple back & sides and is quite stunning. Comes with hard shell case. In our 25+ years of business, Customer Service has always been of the utmost importance to us. Every call, email and inquiry will be answered.
