Up for sale is the myth the legend Yamaha EX5 rack version. My beloved blue beast. Selling it because I'm considering a few other pieces for my studio. If you are reading this then you know what kind of an amazing synth this instrument is and that these are getting harder and harder to find. Unit comes with Max ram for loading samples AND IT IS COMING WITH 8mb of FLASH RAM ALREADY INSTALLED. CONDITION: Commonly known issue of the encoder knobs losing functionality. Knob 1 works. 2 & 6 work intermittently. 3,4,5 do not function correctly. Some people have found easy fixes for this but I haven't. The only thing this affects is the shortcut parameter changes while programming. (The knobs are auto assigned to different parameters). I just cursor over and use the main jog wheel of knob 1. Never been a huge deal to me. Main output is a little scratchy when you first turn it on. Once it warms up 5min or so... It's gone and never comes back. (Common vintage gear problem). Some of the buttons have to be pressed a little hard (sometimes). Item is being priced based on recently ended eBay listings and also considering the ram and flash memory that is already installed. The shipping price includes insurance. This is being sold as is. That is why I have fully disclosed any and all issues. No buy and try. Ask all questions up front. Thanks! The unit sounds great and works well. It's been in my rack for the last two years or so. I only took it out and took pictures for this listing. Thanks for using eBay.
