1930's American made May Bell acoustic guitar in excellent condition. I have owned a lot of these May Bell's and this is the best looking one I have seen yet, and the condition is fantastic. Ain't she a beauty for being over 85 years old. Very warm sunburst finish with no cracks or scratches to speak of. Solid birch back and sides and a solid spruce ladder braced top. Original tuners that work wonderfully and original ebony nut. I changed out the old non-compensated bridge for a new compensated rosewood bridge that intonates on all the strings at every fret. The neck is very straight and the frets have very little wear on them. The overall length of the guitar is 36 3/4 inches. The string length is 24 inches down the center. Lower bout is 13 1/8 inches and the upper bout is 9 5/8 inches. The depth of the body is 4 inches. The nut is 1 3/4 inches wide. The fingerboard has 3 pearl dot inlays and there is binding around the top and the sound hole. The heel is nice and tight and the string action is great. This is a 9.5 out of 10 scale in condition. Affordable 1930's American made vintage!
