This limited edition 814 delivers a huge, wide-ranging tone with looks to match thanks to its Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. Complimenting the Brazilian Rosewood is a Sitka Spruce top that lends an airyness to the tone that complements the extended lows and highs that come from Brazilian Rosewood. A custom bracing structure enhances the low-end, adding some serious projection and warmth. Details include Rosewood purfling outlining the top and framing the Abalone rosette, a Rosewood pickguard, a new "Element" fretboard inlay, and an Ebony fretboard topping the Mahogany neck. An ultra-thin gloss finish gives the wood a chance to really breathe, leading to a more open sound and allowing the aging process to go unhindered.
