2001 Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass Five String. Rare Flame Maple top. Made in USA. Fender for obvious reasons opted not to include a pick guard on this beautiful top. It pains me to sell this bass but I've stayed with my four string and something has to go so here it is. This has got to be the nicest Fender bass I've ever seen. I don't know how many they made like this but it can't be a lot because you don't see them anywhere. The condition of the bass is near mint. There are a few very minor finish cracks on the neck - clearly just in the finish as shown in the sixth photo. There is just a slight hint of fret wear as shown in the last photo with the D string pulled to the side. I received the bass from a large collection liquidation and it seems that it has not been played much at all. There are some very faint scratches on the back which can barely be seen - see the reflection of the grass in the photo. The case looks like it might be older than the bass with some pitting on the latches but it's in good shape. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
