This is my 1965 Fender Vibro Champ stamped OH built in August 1965. There have been no modifications and it has been well cared for and whenever it left the studio it was in full wrap Tuki cover which will be included. The tubes are all functioning as they should, pots smooth, no crackles, hums or anomalies just rich smooth blackface tone. It doesn’t sound “small” like many I’ve heard and when you wind it up it just sings. I’ve used it with my Strats, Tele’s and my Les Paul and I can’t get a bad tone out of it. The vibrato functions perfectly. I’ve owned at least a dozen Champs and Vibro Champs through the years and this is the one I always held on to. I haven’t used it regularly in sometime and it deserves to be played and appreciated. It records brilliantly and I will also include an extra baffle that was cut for a 10” driver which turns it into a whole different animal. The new baffle was made by Revsound and has period correct grill cloth and is drilled for perfect fitment. I can change baffles in less than 10 minutes. The Celestion Greenback shown in the photo of the custom baffle will not be included. The amp is in very good condition and sounds superb. If you’ve been waiting for the right one to come along this is it. It’s rare to find a 1965 Vibro Champ of this quality. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I’ll get back to you asap. You would be hard pressed to find a 1965 Vibrochamp in finer condition. It was always in it's Tuki full wrap cover and the roadcase whenever it was moved. It sounds sensational! The amp will ship in this beautiful tour duty flight case with casters and a Tuki soft padded cover! The flight case is not a 1/4" thick light duty 99. special.. It's constructed of laminated 3/8" baltic birch using all heavy duty hardware and very smooth casters. So, an excellent vintage amp, a very nice fully padded, full wrap soft Tuki cover, and extra baffle cut for a 10" speaker, and a tour duty road-case....nice. |
