This awesome uke from Dave Sigman of Little River ukuleles in California features perfectly-matched honey-colored Maui Island Koa with an amazing tiger pattern. The top is radiused, and has X-bracing, which is unusual in a uke, and unheard-of in a concert uke. The inlay for the soundhole rosette, the dot marks, and the Golden Gecko headstock is rare gold-lipped pearl shell. The shell has so much shimmer that the gecko almost looks alive! The fretboard and bridge are coconut wood, which has a distinctive multi-colored grain pattern, and the uke has a bone nut and saddle. Black binding front and back, with a black and white pinstripe. Perfect tone balance with crisp highs and booming lows, volume that rivals most tenors, and nearly endless sustain thanks to the Italian spruce X-bracing. This one is so nice, I feel like keeping it for myself!
