Original 1920's Gibson A-1 Snakehead Mandolin in good condition. Some wear from playing is evident. Original pick guard with patent date of Mar 30 1909. Side brace dated July 4 1911. Serial number is 78275. I've looked it over pretty carefully and was unable to identify any damage other than superficial scratches. All seams appear to be in good condition. The piece that goes on the very bottom is missing. I'm not 100% sure how to describe the parts and pieces of this fine instrument, so please feel free to send me any questions you may have.
