VINTAGE 1968 FENDER PRINCETON REVERB AMP IN NEAR MINT CONDITION !!! "CRAZY CLEAN AMPLIFIER" MUSEUM QUALITY AMP
This is a very well kept original 1968 Fender Princeton reverb, Drip Edge amp. This has 2 - 6V6 RCA power tubes and a GZ34 rectifier tube and 4 pre amp tubes, 3 are Telefunken and the 7025 is and RCA and a 10" Oxford speaker has a code of 465521 it was made in 1965 the 21 week. The 2 transformers have codes of 606-8-14 and the other 8316811 The circuit is stamped on the tube chart AA764 I don't publish chassis serial numbers but I will give you a partial number just for reference A-21xxx I don't see any evidence it has been worked on at all. And I have every reason to believe that all parts are original including tubes. I turned it on right after I bought it just to be sure it was working for only a few minutes it sounded great . Due to its near Mint condition I haven't used it nor will I, this is a collector grade amplifier and I'll leave any addition playing to the new owner. I was told by the original owner that they had used it from time to time at home, from looking at it I'd say it was used very little. I have a copy of a bank register the original owners gave me showing they had purchased it in 1968. The original owners engraved a name and a number in the chassis above and below the chassis serial number. If you have questions I would be happy to respond. And amp like this doesn't show up ever day don't let it pass you by, you are not likely to see another this clean anytime soon if ever !!! This is a real 1968 fender amp not a reissue. I can find almost no signs on the face or the knobs that the knobs were turned and a few very light marks near the input jacks. It has a few marks on the tolex signs that it has been around for years but nothing I saw that keeps it from being a museum grade amp. It looks more like it came off the factory floor than a music store floor.
