Description
I have been commissioned by his family to sell Dan Bump's personal banjo. Dan and Bill were good friends who met in college and invented the D tuners a couple of years after graduation. There is a good history on the web site: www.beaconbanjo.com. Bill’s son Martin now runs the company. This gorgeous instrument was made by Great Lakes Banjo and has serial number 321. I believe it is their Elite model with wonderful inlays and birdseye maple upgrades. Of course it is fitted with 4 Keith tuners. The sturdy original case is not marked. It includes two sets of unused Bill Keith strings and a couple of related papers. I believe the photos suggest what a beautiful piece this is. Any opportunity to buy a Great Lakes Banjo is rare and this particular one is that much more special with its great condition and outstanding history. It is selling with a trivial minimum bid and no reserve.Shipping outside U.S.A. will only be made via eBay's Global Shipping Program. Satisfaction guaranteed with my 30 day return policy.See the Shipping Calculator below for shipping costs, or you may pick up without surcharge here in Chester, VT. I combine shipping charges when you buy multiple auction lots. International Buyers Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up, do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
