Description Brand: Marshall Model: 4210 Amplifier Type: Combo Country/Region of Manufacture: United Kingdom Amplifier Technology: Vacuum Tube
This is a mid or early 80's Marshall JCM800 Lead Series Combo Amp Model 4210 with 50 Watts and a new Celestion G12H-100. It is in very good playing condition and has JJ tubes in the preamp section and Mesa 417's EL34 Power Tubes. Search the web for the many reviews, articles and information about these amps. The speaker is brand new from the box and is a great match for the power handling of these amps and the speaker looks clean as a whistle. Its a two channel amp clean and lead (boost) but players used the lead channel almost exclusively for the Marshall Sound. It usually does not need any introduction. As far as playing condition, I think it is very very solid. The controls are quiet and judging from the very clean nature of the underside chassis and the very clean original Drake transformers, its looks like was serviced or kept in serviceable condition. It does not look like it has been left on deck on the cruise ship or in somebody's garage collecting corrosion, and that is usually a good sign on a 30+ year old Amp. The faceplate and knobs are also in very good condition too, as you can see and that is also usually a good sign that it has not been abused or gigged with extensively. The Grill and Marshall logo look pretty good and you have to get close to see any imperfections in the grill and that gives it an overall clean looking appearance. It does have its share of tolex dings, and you can get repair patches if that bothers you, most of them are on the back corners but you can see on the picture some on the front and I have made no attempt to hide them. The footswitch for Boost and Reverb are a newer Marshall and is quite heavy duty and in good shape, so the original footswitch is missing and has been replaced with this one. One of the screws for the back panel has been replaced but everything else looks like original stock. I've priced this to go quickly. I will double box it and send it via FEDEX Ground, with shipping varying by your location so please use the calculator. I do not accept returns, so please be advised, look at the pictures, email me or ask for more if you are interested but I think I have covered the basics. If this is your first foray into the World of Marshall Amps you won't go wrong. Likewise if you use for a living, this one seems to be in gig ready shape. Thanks for looking. Paypal upon Buy it now and I usually ship same or next business day but only to the 48 continental states. Local pickup is okay too.
