Description Brand: Martin String Configuration: 6 String Model: Vintage Exact Year: 1957 Body Type: 000/OM Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Dexterity: Right-Handed
This is a wonderful BRAZILIAN Martin 000-21 from 1957! All original, except for the bridge pins, and a new saddle, likely replaced when the guitar's neck was reset, before I got it 7 years ago. Please note, however, I have no direct knowledge of the reset, it's just that the neck angle and action are so good, and there is plenty of saddle left...I assume it was professionally reset in the past. It plays and sounds terrific, and is structurally sound. There are some obvious signs of use and play wear, honestly acquired in its almost 60 years of life, including capo marks on the neck, finish wear on the lower bout (under your elbow), some nicks and scrapes, a finish separation at the center seam, and the beginning of a crack between the 1st and 2nd strings. A great opportunity to own a vintage Brazilian Martin--especially if you happen to be turning the BIG 6-0 next year and are looking for the perfect birthyear buddy to grow older with! Let me know if you have questions, or need additional photos. Thanks!
