Okay, some of you may be familiar with AIERSI guitar works out of China. this is a small group of highly skilled luthiers building often sinfully accurate reproductions of famous custom guitars. However, this is not just their "normal copy" of the famous design developed by Gregg Smallman of Australia, but my own design using very specific woods for a very specific tonal purpose and adding an extra string, making this a 7 string guitar! This guitar was built two years ago as a prototype using the Smallman design which incorporates lattice bracing, elevated FB, sound ports and a specially contoured, "violin back" on the back of the guitar, which creates greater air space inside the guitar. Now, my idea was to have it built of Master Grade Maple back and sides and Master Grade Cedar Top, with a radiused FB and 640 mm scale for playability. and sound qualities which would be both LOUD, and SWEET, with good clarity and balance, and plus the addition of the seventh string.  And I will be darned if I don't think I NAILED IT!. I would take THIS GUITAR over ANY of the real Smallmans that I have played. The sound is tremendous, balanced, cello-like and modern! A concert performance quality instrument. This guitar also has a truss rod for neck adjustments which AIERSI talked me in to, and it does not seem to detract in any way, except that Smallman designs already tend to be a bit on the "heavy" side in weight for a classical and the truss rod added a bit more to that. So if you were going to strap the guitar to your chest and wear it like Johnny Cash would have, you are going to have some weight issues. But if you have it up on a knee in the standard classical position, the heavier weight is no problem. I don't even notice it when  play the guitar.I also mercilessly hassled AIERSI about the build quality (though their builds are usually pretty good, I wasn't going to let them know that...:) Haha) and I made them so paranoid about itthat they took DOUBLE the time normally required to complete one of these guitars. I also went with a thicker varnish on back and sides for protection, but a very thin varnish on the top for sound quality. I did ask to add my own tuners and I stuck on a medium grade 7 string tuner set that works fine but should probably be upgraded as the rest of the guitar is FIRST CLASS all the way!640mm scale. Radiused polished Ebony FB ; Elevated FB ; Dual "Ruck Style" Sound ports in upper bout ; Master Grade Cedar Top. Master Grade Tiger Maple Back and Sides. Ebony Bindings. SEVEN STRINGS tuned DEADGBE...etc. 3.6 mm action at the 12th fret with room to go lower wither by lowering the saddle or fiddling with the truss rod and neck angle.comes with Rigid Foam Case. Light and protective as heavier wooden cases. A $100 value by itself! OK, now guys, I KNOW this is a Chinese guitar, but the BUILD is TOP RATE! So here is basically your chance to get a seven string guitar that is the equal of a $20,000 Gregg Smallman guitar at a mere fraction of the price. And on top of that the build and the guitar itself are just WAY COOL to look at aesthetically with a Flamenco Orange maple Back and Side set, Ebony fixtures that make the looks of the guitar really POP. I would not be offering this guitar from my collection if finances did not dictate that it be so, so while I encourage and will take seriously all offers, please don't tender offers that you KNOW are going to "insult" the integrity of the quality of the guitar. If you can not understand why it would be totally justified for you to pay a reasonable price for an outstanding guitar that will give you pleasure and performance for the rest of your life, then please just move on!  : ) RETURNS ACCEPTED. 72 HOUR RETURN POLICY.
